What Most Attracted You To The History Surronding The War?: Was born and raised in Westminster, MD, about a half hour South of Gettysburg, about a half hour East of Antietam, and about a half hour from Baltimore. My Dad would always take me to these places, or I would see movies like "Glory", or "Gettysburg", or read books on the subject, or from school trips so it naturaly appealed to me from a young age. At some point I got burned out on the subject, and got more interested in Ancient History. However, it was not till 6 years ago when I moved to Gettysburg that something really clicked in my head and saw the whole thing in a different way, and really started understanding the plight of the common soldier.

How Did You Get Into Reenacting?: While I was interested in the ACW, I was never interested the reenacting scene. I found reenactors to be largely self righteous, drunken buffons, and the reenactments i'd been to to be more like carnivals than a proper display of history in action. Again, it was not till I moved to Gettysburg, and after quiting my job, sitting around my house for a few months, my Dad had just got back into the hobby, and suggested I give it a chance, so I did, the rest is History. 2008 will be my Sixth Year.

What Made You Decide To Join The 114th?: I joined the 23rd PA in June of 2003, after less than six months, for politeness sake, it was not the unit for me. After talking to Shaun, meeting the guys, and doing a couple of things, it was a natural fit, one of the best decisions i've ever made. The total opposite of everything I used to asscoiate with reenactors.

Have Worked On Any Movies Or TV Shows? If So Which Ones?: Amazing Race (2005), Globe Trekker (2006), A New Birth of Freedom (2008)
